How Traveling Puzzles Work

Once a quarter, the Magical Traveling Puzzle Library Appears...

Who can sign up for Puzzles?

All Master Puzzlers' Club members have the opportunity to sign up for up to 4 puzzle packs at time.

What's in a Puzzle Pack?

A pack normally has two or more puzzles. Some packs have one puzzle with lots of pieces, and some have many tiny puzzles!

The Puzzle Shop?

The "shop" is open once a quarter (January, April, July and October) for about a week, giving everyone ample time to sign up for traveling puzzle packs. You will be notified via email when the shop is open - and how to do your shopping. We try to list at least 6 new packs each quarter! 

Once the shop closes, we will set up the traveling lists to all start in different locations in the country, and notify everyone on each packs' list. The pack will then ship out to the first address on the list. We say "shop" because that is how it is set up -- open the shop link, add the puzzle packs you want to sign up for into your cart, and check out!

How do I know What I Already Signed up For?

With our nifty Member Portal, enter your email to see what you are signed up for, what you have completed, who to send your current pack to next, and any tasks you've volunteered for. 

What about Shipping?

You are responsible for shipping the puzzle pack to the next individual on the list, preferably within two weeks, at the cost of ~$10-$15 per pack. PirateShip or Shippo make shipping any type of package easier and cheaper -- pay and print your labels at home, then either drop your package at your post office, or flag down your postal person and have them take it. Note that you'll need access to a printer and tape to affix the shipping label -- please don't obscure the new barcode with tape! If you add anything to the box or switch out the box, the weight will change and you will need to weigh it for accurate shipping cost. 

How long does it take for a Puzzle Pack to get to me?

It depends where you fall in the list of sign ups, hence why we organize all the puzzles to start in differnt places around the country. Imagine a circle, and you are somewhere on the line of the circle. If we start a puzzle near you, it will get to you faster -- if we start it far from you, it will get to you slower. Most packs take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months or more to travel around. 

What If I'm going to be traveling when the pack comes to me?

We don't share your address with anyone -- instead, we give you the next person in line's email address. So you will get an email before a package is sent to you, and you can tell that member where to ship it to! But this also means you need to watch you spam -- sometimes emails from real people for traveling puzzle packs get sent to spam! If you can't get in touch with the next person, just email Sena (below) and she will help the puzzle pack along.

Can I sign up for a Big Pack of Puzzles if I'm holding a Puzzle Event?

Indeed you can! As a membership perk, we have a Puzzle Party in a Box program. If you are part of planning a puzzle shindig, big or small, you can get together with Sena to select several puzzles to borrow for the party. You are responsible for the puzzles and shipping them back to us, but this way, we get to share the puzzle love with more people!
