Collect bios, headshots, and fun details from future Chat & Puzzle Guest Speakers.
Fulfillment Manager
mails out new member sticker packs -- 3-5 hrs quarterly
Event Reporter
Writes up a puzzle event attendance that goes in our newsletter -- 1-2 hrs, one-time
Event Scout
Help us find a few puzzle events or swaps to share in our monthly newsletter. 1-2 hrs, one time
Website Updater
update and add content to our Puzzle Jam Inc. website -- 1-2 hrs, monthly (must have Google account)
Zoom Host
pick a Chat & Puzzle night to host! Engage people in conversation, ask about their puzzles, and create a feeling of welcomeness and belonging (must be a member)
Loved Puzzle Jam in 2023 and 2025? Keep in mind that all of these jobs were completed by 2 peoplein 2025 ~ We need you help if we are to hold a Puzzle Jam in 2027!
Examples of Planning Crew jobs
Event Director: cat wrangler, coordinates the Planning Crew, making sure everything happens by deadlines. Creates event schedule with team, acts as Master of Ceremonies at event.
Sponsor & Vendor Guru: manages relations with puzzle companies, including all communications, Puzzle Pages ad collection, coordinates final parting gift, and swag!
Puzzle Pages Crew: group that sources, edits/proofreads, and formats articles, creates content and layout, and prints the Puzzle Pages we have all come to love!
Registration Guru: manages event ticket website, customer service inbox, preps check in pages for registration table at event
Event Volunteer Guru: manages on-site volunteer relations: recruitment, communications, scheduling, sends volunteer thank yous!
Hands-on-Deck Crew: volunteers on-site at the event. Registration table, Puzzle Room Manager, Market announcer, puzzle craft table, unpack and setup, stuff swag, tear down and clean out.
Speed Puzzle Guru: sources or creates speed puzzle and prize, finds assistants for competition monitoring for winner, awards winner!
Teaching Crew: scroll saw puzzle cutting cutting teachers, crafting class, ?movement (zumba, yoga)
